The maize research in Bihar with Co-ordinated scheme at Dholi is working with the following mandates:
i. Development of single cross hybrids for different agro-climatic conditions and seasons (Kharif, Rabi and spring).
ii. Development of productive inbred lines as a back up support for high yielding hybrids and economic seed production.
iii. Development of new hybrids for adoption and mitigation to climate changes in maize based cropping systems.
iv. Identification of sources of resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses.
v. Producing abundant quantity of breeder seed to maximize coverage of maize area under hybrids.
vi. Transfer of maize production technologies.

RHM-4 (DMRH-1308) has been identified by 6th RC, Dr. RPCAU, Pusa Bihar, state Variety Release Committee recommended for Bihar.

(3b) Two hybrids, MMH-19-22 & MMH-17-12 in AVT I stage of evaluation.
