Project Title: Study on diversity of Setosphaeria turcica isolates of maize in India
Objectives:

  1. Morphological and molecular characterization of Turcicum leaf blight isolates
  2. Pathogenic variability of the distinct isolates

Major Achievements:
The survey for collecting isolates of turcicum leaf blight has been started from July 2019 across India. We have collected 30 isolates from prevailing areas of TLB namely Mandya, Bajaura, Rahuri, Almora and Umiam. Morphological study of the collected isolates has been started.
