Most significant achievements (in last five years)

  • Eighteen lines of groundnut have been developed which have large seed size with confectionery quality traits.
  • Two mutant populations of GG 20 and TPG 41 have been developed in groundnut.
  • Three RILs populations were developed using the crosses GG 20 × CS 19, GG 20 × CS 75, GG 20 × CS 83 for tolerance to stem rot and two RILS populations using crosses GG 20 × J 11 and ICGV 00350 × J 11 for seed coat resistance to flavus.
  • Eleven lines of groundnut have been developed for tolerant/resistant of different diseases.
  • Groundnut lines PBS-12067, PBS-12116, PBS-12172, PBS-12175, PBS-18006, PBS-18037, PBS-12029 and PBS-18037 identified for tolerant to stem rot.
  • Groundnut lines PBS- 12032, PBS-12066, PBS-12116, PBS-12168, PBS-12171, PBS-13020, PBS-18006, PBS-18035, PBS-18057, PBS-12189, PBS-12191, PBS-12192, PBS-12196, PBS-12196, PBS-12198, NRCGCS-85 and GPBD-4, PBS-12169 and PBS-12190 identified resistant/tolerant to Alternaria leaf spot.
