Area of interest: 

• Genetic improvement of maize for various economic traits by using various biotechnological tools.
• Isolation & characterization of various insecticidal toxic gene(s) from native Bacillus thuringiensis isolates for their use in insect-pest management strategies

Most significant achievements (in last five years)

• Registration of complete ORF sequence of 6 toxic genes isolated from Bacillus t
• Development of SSIs (Single spore Isolates) of Agaricus bisporus, which are being maintained and evaluated for yield and quality traits at DMR, Solan for their use in future breeding programme.
• Involved in organization of 8^th International Conference on Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products 19-22 Nov 2014, held at NASC Complex, New Delhi
