  • July, 2014 – September, 2014: Scientist, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad, Telangana
  • October 2014 – October 2016: Scientist, ICAR-Directorate of Mushroom Research (DMR), Solan, Himachal Pradesh
  • November, 2016 – Till date: Scientist, ICAR-Indian Institute of Maize Research (IIMR), Ludhiana, Punjab

Area of interest: 

  • Genetic improvement of maize for various economic traits by using various biotechnological tools.
  • Isolation & characterization of various insecticidal toxic gene(s) from native Bacillus thuringiensis isolates for their use in insect-pest management strategies

Most significant achievements (in last five years)

  • Registration of complete ORF sequence of 6 toxic genes isolated from Bacillus t
  • Development of SSIs (Single spore Isolates) of Agaricus bisporus, which are being maintained and evaluated for yield and quality traits at DMR, Solan for their use in future breeding programme.
  • Involved in organization of 8th International Conference on Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products 19-22 Nov 2014, held at NASC Complex, New Delhi
